About Us

David Lilley Construction is a professional family run business with over 40 years’ experience in the building trade. The pride we take in our work is clearly evident in the detail of our finished projects.

When we start a project we consider all aspects of the build including the current needs of the owner, the future plans of the owner and any changes that the owner may predict in the coming years.

Every family has a different story to tell and with that story comes different needs and demands on their living space. We believe that it is crucial to take this into consideration when designing and planning projects. A home must be able to adapt to the changing needs of its owners as the years progress and this is why we consider the long term needs of the family or persons right at the outset of the project planning phase.

We consider the long term comfort, contentment and the practicality of how a home performs for its residents not just now but in years to come.

Whether you live alone, as a couple or have a family of 5, we consider you’re living arrangements and the needs that your home must fulfil. We look to the end project and with your involvement we decide on the goals that we want to achieve. Our concepts are delivered through clear and constant communication with you, we listen, we advise and most importantly we deliver each and every time.

The following are areas of discussion and consideration

  • Heat retention and BER – your home needs to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer, ventilation is key for healthy living but without the draughts
  • The surrounding environment – how we can make your home and the environment complement each other so that there is a union of interior and exterior with respect for the surrounding land, buildings etc
  • Space is maximised and utilised in every area but with an emphasis on having a flow throughout the building so that movement is easy
  • The immediate needs of the living spaces but yet we keep in mind that as years go on, peoples requirements change and the home must be easily able to adapt to such changes with minimal expense.
  • Comfort and safety – there are many safety aspects that need to be considered in a home and we bring these to your attention for discussion and inclusion.
  • Materials and design – different people favour different materials and designs and we cater for all – we want your home to be as unique as you the owner and we intend that your home will reflect your personality and lifestyle preferences, as you walk through your home we want your journey in life to be reflected in its design and layout.
  • Affordability – being a family ourselves we know the costs involved in running a home and we understand that budgets are in place for a reason – we work with you to ensure that the budget is honoured whilst retaining the design of your desires.
  • Lifestyle – Your home is a sanctuary where you spend quality time, it is where the major events take place, your personality, your pass times and your passions should all be reflected in the design and the layout of your home.
